Hello world!

Hi there! Welcome to Once Upon A Spine! I’m hoping that you have come looking for simple ways to create a healthier life for you, your family and your community. First off, let me tell you a little bit about myself, then I will share a little bit about why I am writing this blog and what I hope you will gain from following along on my journey.

About Me

My name is Christina Johnson, and I hold a Doctorate in Chiropractic sciences, plus several certifications in Sports Injury Rehabilitation and Human Movement. I currently live in a small town in Upstate New York, with my mountain man husband and a cat named Piglet. I run a small office near our home and I run a virtual strength and rehabilitation program from wherever my husband and I choose to adventure to. My favorite patients to treat in office are moms and babies, with high school athletes coming in second. I also teach in person classes at a local dance studio for both their dancers and local community members. In my spare time (lol), I enjoy being at the barn riding horses or curled up in a sun puddle reading or knitting.

I originally was drawn to chiropractic for animals, and while I still have plans of pursuing that path at some point in the near future, I’m focusing on my people first. Through the course of chiropractic school, I came to the conclusion that I really enjoyed helping people become pain free and achieve their health goals! In the process of learning how to treat pain in a natural and non-invasive way, I began to discover the amount of people that just didn’t know where to start making changes to get healthier.

Goals:

From that discovery comes this blog. This blog is designed to be a collection of all the exciting and simple little healthy tidbits I come across in my daily podcast listening, reading, researching, and clinical observations. I hope that having all of these tips and tidbits in one place helps you reach your health goals, and gives you the encouragement you need to keep chasing after them!

In the last year, I started creating new health goals and wanted to be able to document some of them. The idea behind this is to create a higher level of accountability for myself, and hopefully encourage others to be more accountable to themselves.
