New Year, New Goals, And New Plans!

Happy January! I hope that you’re having a great year so far! I know that I am.

We had a super relaxed and peaceful Christmas and New Years, with lots of good food, family time, and quiet walks out in the woods.

New Goals

In the course of planning for the new year, I’m trying to be more consistent and intentional with everything that I do. To help myself out, and maybe encourage some of you, I wrote out a few goals for myself and I thought it might be fun to share them with all of you!

  • Work out consistently. This means that I have committed to working out 6 days a week. This doesn’t give me any wiggle room to make excuses or push off working out, because I’ll run out of time to finish my workouts. I track every workout using mapmyfitness and Evidation. Evidation rewards you for tracking health and wellness activities and allows you to pay yourself or donate funds! https:/tinyurl.com/yynhxsst
  • Write a blog post every week. My plan is to post a full post every two weeks, which means that I can be ahead of the game in case life happens and I get distracted or swamped with work. I’ve been listening to Sam Brown’s podcast The Perfectionism Project, and I’ve been learning a lot about myself and how I can be better at avoiding procrastinating.
  • I want to learn to can vegetables this year! I love gardening and eating food we grow ourselves and I think it would be great to be able to have our own pickles and relish all winter. Oh, and maybe salsa! If you know of any good blogs or tutorials for canning, leave a comment below!
  • I also plan to cut the amount of general stuff I own in half. And yes, I know that sounds extreme, but I also know I own a lot of stuff that I don’t use or need. I found several organizations that accept household goods and clothes that I’ll be taking all kinds of stuff to over the next few weeks.

In order to keep myself on track and organized, I’ve been sitting down once a week and writing down as many things as I can in my planner. I’ve used planners for years, but since graduating school I don’t use it regularly, other than for a few really important dates here and there, which makes me feel wasteful. I just got a new planner for 2023 and its absolutely adorable and I cant wait to fill it up and use it like a journal for all of my goals and dreams

New Plans!

I’m also opening up a new practice this coming spring! Once Upon a Spine will finally be an actual location, allowing me to provide hands on care to people in New York and Vermont! I can’t wait to share pictures of the new space and all my favorite little office snippets once I finally get moved in. I’ll be adding a link to online booking for the new location in a few more weeks, as well as more social media links and any other contact info that you may need!

Thanks so much for your support and I can’t wait to see smiling faces in the office!
